Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell has been released from the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery after being shot while visiting his hometown of Daytona Beach, Florida, Christian Terry of KPRC in Houston reports.

Dell was drafted by the Texans in 2023 after playing for the University of Houston. He had also played at Alabama A&M and Independence Community College before transferring to UH.

Dell was selected by the Texans 69th overall after a trade up in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Dell’s outstanding first season with the Houston Texans ended with 47 catches for 709 yards and seven touchdowns.

His season was cut short by a broken fibula suffered during a December 3 game against the Denver Broncos.
