Wes Welker and Brandon Lloyd might not be back with the New England Patriots next season, Greg Bedard of the Boston Globe reports. Welker will become an unrestricted free-agent. Last year the Patriots placed the franchise tag on him but aren't expected to do the same this year. If they did no it would cost the team $11.4 million.
Lloyd is due a $3 million option bonus in addition to a $1.9 million base salary, Lloyd according to Bedard has shown he is "not quite the right guy" to threaten defenses down as the "X" receiver.
