The Chargers have interviewed Jimmy Raye for their GM opening and are heading out to interview other candidates, Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports.  This according to a league source.

Raye is a strong internal candidate and could replace A.J. Smith, but the process will go through next week. Other candidates include Steve Keim (Arizona), Tom Gamble (SF), Tom Telesco (Indy), Dave Caldwell (Atlanta) and Marc Ross (Giants).

The Chargers plan to hire a general manager before the head coach.
