Despite the signing of veteran Dion Lewis, the Tennessee Titans still "plan" to have Derrick Henry "be the lead back" according to Jim Wyatt of titansonline.com.

Wyatt adds Henry's performance will determine how the workload is distributed, but Henry is the favorite for carries over Lewis.  Henry, the Titans' second-round pick out of Alabama after winning the Heisman Trophy in 2016, was stuck in a timeshare with an increasingly ineffective DeMarco Murray the first two seasons of his NFL career and is hoping to finally be the team's No.1 back in his third year.  The 24-year-old was up and down in 2017 but did seem more effective when given bigger workloads and finished the season with 744 rushing yards and 6 total touchdowns.  It is still very possible that Henry could lead the team in carries but the shifty and elusive Lewis could actually lead the team in total all-purpose yards.
