Denver Broncos outside lineback Shane Ray is still dealing with soreness in his surgically-repaired wrist according to Jeff Legwold of ESPN.

It is the same wrist Ray had three surgeries on last year.  "We'll take it slow," were the words of head coach Vance Joseph.  The wrist issue sheds more light on the Broncos' somewhat surprising decision to decline Ray's fifth-year option in May.  Chosen No.23-overall in the 2015 draft out of the University of Missouri, Ray recorded four sacks as a rookie and doubled that number to eight in 2016 but notched only one sack in eight games last season due to the wrist injury.  With the Broncos choosing EDGE Bradley Chubb with the 5th-overall pick in this year's draft, it is possible the team shops Ray this summer.
