NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has in the past been so disgusted by the level of play in the Pro Bowl that he seriously considered cancelling this year's contest but ended up pleased by the results of this Sunday's contest according to Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com.
“You have to admit it was very competitive,” Goodell told ESPN Radio’s Mike & Mike in the Morning. “Exciting. Fun. I think the players played much harder.” Goodell liked the changes made to this year's format, which included nixing the traditional AFC vs. NFC contest in favor of a player draft captained by Hall-of-Famers Deion Sanders and Jerry Rice.
