Chip Kelly is the new coach of the Philadelphia Eagles, Chris Mortensen of ESPN reports. This according to league sources. There has been no official announcement yet.
Kelly originally turned down the Eagles and Browns to remain at Oregon but he re-emerged as a candidate recently and an agreement was just reached Thursday.
Kelly was 46-7 in four seasons at Oregon. His last game with Oregon was a 35-17 win over Kansas State in the Fiesta Bowl.
Kelly replaces Andy Reid who was fired after 14 seasons.
