The Dolphins reportedly have hired a receivers coach and, like another member of the staff, he goes way back with new head coach Joe Philbin according to Ben Volin of the Palm Beach Post.
According to several reports, Iowa Hawkeyes offensive coordinator Ken O'Keefe told his players Friday that he will be the Dolphins' new receivers coach.
O'Keefe, 58, has been Iowa's coordinator since 1999 and for four seasons worked with Philbin, who was offensive line coach from 1999 through 2002.
O'Keefe goes back even further with Philbin, 50. O'Keefe coached him in high school at Worcester (Mass.) Academy in 1979. New Dolphins offensive coordinator Mike Sherman also was on Worcester's staff that year.
